BA's approach to the UK regions differs from the likes of AF/KL/LH/U2. BA has targeted key airports (MAN, NCL, EDI, GLA, and ABZ) and blitzes these routes with schedules unrivalled by its competitors. AF/KL has greater coverage of the UK but spreads itself thinly - Granted, its schedules do seem cleverly co-ordinated with its long haul network. LH, well its schedules and coverage of the UK outside of London is of little use nor ornament. U2 will blitz the regions at key morning and late evening peaks from STN, LGW and LTN but like LH offers little practical advantage over BA for connections onwards.
