Awards are for standard rooms only as defined by each individual hotel. I would imagine in HI that Gardenview or Terrance view rooms would fall into that category. As far as award combining goes, it all depends on the hotel. If they see you are booked in an upgraded room for a few nights and a standard view for the remainder, then they may put you into the upgraded room for the whole stay or make you change rooms. This is an indiviual policy and changes from check in agent to check in agent at hotels so no one can say for sure but if you Platinum then you would more than likely get an awesome room. Good luck!
