A return trip is one entity and can't be divided when it comes to payment. You can't pick one leg of a return trip and pay only for that. I'm afraid there are only three options to pay for the trip:

1. Cash
2. Miles
3. Part cash part miles

I assume you don't have enough miles for a return trip and that's the reason for your question?

Have you considered flying coach on the dayflight and then MFU the overnight leg? BA Y isn't so bad, have a look at my linked trip report
