One of the things that we added is the nominee concept and there's a fairly high cost associated with that as well (as you are no longer restricted to upgrading a companion traveling on the same flight); in order to fund for that, we looked at the benefit that is least utilized and that was among one of them. Fair amount of SEs who are flight pass customers are getting the Latitude option which means it comes with complimentary upgrade so we scaled down on the amount of credits one get with that benefit in order to introduce the new nominee benefit. Understand this will make some customers unhappy but we're convinced that most customers will be pleased that they now at least have a chance to upgrade one of their friends/families. This new benefit also addresses a complaint that we hear often from our very high yield customers (paid J) that they never need upgrade certificates - they can now share them with someone else instead of all of them going to waste.
