I think WN's biggest fault in DAL is that they took so long to mount a challenge against Wright and once they finally did it was a gimped repeal. DAL could/should be a MDW level operation. Personally, I'd tell AA to pound sand with their ridiculous notion that DFW still needs protection from DAL.

There are numerous cities with an entrenched hub at an Airport A with all the competition at Airport B (Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, DC, San Francisco, and so on) that all managed to operate a-okay.
