Well, in an interview in NY the other day, the owner of "Bubbys", a pretty decent casual place downtown (Tribeca) that has/had good food (JFK Jr used to come here often) and a pretty decent brunch too criticised this new restaurant and its' prices, saying in effect that he is going to really enjoy watching this French guy go out of business!
