Sure you wouldn't be able to just send a kid off the street to TSA indoctrination camp for 10 weeks to do profiling, but the skill is inherently trainable. If people took it seriously and started today we could be "Israelified" in a couple of years especially if you select the right candidates but the politicians want votes before then.
Voodoo "security" of profiling is "trainable" -- as evidenced by DHS/TSA already wanting and getting profilers -- but getting lucky and being able to market those lucky "successes" is not a great use of resources except in the heads of those snake-oil salesmen and of the gullible seeking a placebo to help with their emotional troubles rooted in fear about a statisitcally insignificant risk compared to other daily activities of theirs.
