For one night and transiting I would just book Ohana or BW near the airport especially with small children. Both hotels has complimentary shuttle to airport. We have stayed at both for overnighting and pre-cruise. Like last poster mention, they are not stellar like premium hotels on Waikiki strip but getting to Waikiki and back to HNL for just one night might be more hassle especially with late arrival and early departure.
