Israeli security in the US is nonsense and unworkable. It will never happen.

What we need is a holistic trusted traveler program which could provide the same "parking lot to lounge" experience (although I can regularly pull this off in far less than 25 mins even today).

We already have massive security holes today with through-the-fence operations, unscreened cargo, etc. Until those holes are plugged, I see little-to-no added risk in permitting members of Nexus and Global Entry to use a simplified screening lane with WTMD only, shoes on, laptops in, and no liquid restrictions - essentially pre-9/11 security with random pulls (designated electronically, a la YYZ) for more thorough checks.

Access can be granted by a gating system opened with the Nexus/GE iris scan system, or a separate line leading to the simplified screening lane.
