Just arrived in Hartford. Had to call twice for the shuttle (once when landed, once after waiting 35 minutes). Took 1 hour and 7 minutes to get to hotel. The van was NOT out when I called. Next problem, I have an 8:00am flight and the shuttle only begins after the 7am bellman comes in. The sheraton web site advertises the shuttle, BUT NOT THE TIMES! The cab ride is over $30! I feel that:
1) Hotels that have a 25 minute ride to the airport should not advertise a shuttle. This because normally the propeties that have them are near the airport NOT 12miles away! And we are used to 5 minute rides.
2) I think it is unreasonble to start a shuttle at approx. 7:05am as MANY flights leave or must be checked in for prior to the 7:45am the shuttle could get me to the airport. Particularly in this town when 90% of the jet flights arrive late, stay overnight and are then the first flight out, it seems stupid to start late.

Seems like I'm losing time to sleep, the cost of the cab ride and the time to get here today. The question is am I being unreasonable or is this a ripoff?
