Would it make sense to think about flying out of PHL for more options, including AA and US (not my favorite)? If you take the train (Amtrak or NJ Transit or whatever) to the main Philadelphia station (30th Street) there's a very quick and convenient light rail line to the airport as an alternative to driving.
