My friend had a misconnect in SEA and the airport rebooked him SEA-ATL in Y class due to the irrops. A couple of days later he checked his account online and it showed the flight fare class as T/Y...and no 50% bonus. He called SMS and they said it was because his original fare was T class so they don't credit miles when rebooked into Y like that.

However when I check my statements from various irrops over the last year when I was rebooked in Y class and even F class sometimes, I always got the 50% bonus...even a couple times when I SDC and the gate agent put me into Y for some reason from a T fare, I got the 50% bonus.

So is this a new thing for Delta, or is it really technical depending when and when you do not receive the Y fare class bonus?
