I got the same message when trying to log in and couldn't check in via my iPhone which I guess is a related issue.

As an aside - now I have checked via laptop can I later retrieve my boarding pass on my iPhone (assuming the BAEC bugs get sorted) or will it have to be a paper one now?

Edit: yes you can retrieve your boarding pass on your iPhone even if you have checked in via computer
