Soup with Cold Meals
According to a flight attendant, Delta last Thursday began offering hot soup as an appetizer on flights catered with otherwise cold meals.
I've had two cold meals since, the first with cream of broccoli and the second with chicken tortilla. While I'd have liked bigger portions, the soups were both tasty and a welcome improvement to the in-flight catering. (The soup replaces the fruit salad.)
Now, if we could just get plated desserts instead of the prepackaged Dancing Deer stuff...
