agreed. as a frequent edy user, i find the card based edy much too cumbersome to be worth it. keitai based edy is more practical as you can charge it from your ANA credit card by just pushing a few buttons. of course, this will not help you if you're just taking a vacation to japan.
It's not difficult. I haven't got around to sticking it on my mobile but charging the Edy from my card is easier enough with the right equipment. Great for MacDonalds run. I just charge in 10,000 yen lots and i am away!
