Well, I had planned on Nightly reports.... (LONG)
but I was in Vegas and that just didn't happen.
So here's the rest of the trip:
We were up to $72.87 at the end of travel day to Vegas and a liquor stop before checking into the Jockey Club on the Strip right between Bellagio and the new Cosmopolitan scheduled to open on 12/15. The Jockey Club is a small, older timeshare property which had lured us via a phone call about a year ago for a three night stay as long as we took the dreaded TS tour. We own a couple TS's and are not afraid of the tours. Worth the three nights stay in our book.
Anyway, After we got checked in around midnight, I went on a solo blackjack run next door at the Bellagio. Played for two or three hours at a $5 table with a small smattering of people and ended up losing a grand total of $5. Not bad. Now at $77.87 spent.
Woke up at 9:15am on Thursday, to shower and dress for the TS tour at 10am. Tour/sales pitch lasted 2 hours. Slightly high-pressure at the end but nothing reasonable adults can't easily say "no thank you" to.
After tour, back to room for a couple of cocktails and then off to Town Square about 2 miles south on the strip. Lunch at Lolita's in Town Square was very yummy. Used a half price lunch coupon from Vegas4locals.com (you don't actually need to be a local for 95% of their coupons) and spent $17.46 for lunch for the two of us including tip. Portions were perfect for a lunch menu and ingredients/presentation/atmosphere were all lovely. Total now $95.33 spent.
From there, went to Hooters for $100.00 free slot play x2 coupons we received after the tour earlier. At the casino (small and very odd, but whatever) we each were given a players card and directed toward their promotional play slots. These slots are $5 per pull and max bet is $15. We spent about 30 mins trying to win one of the promo jackpots but didn't (SHOCKING) then left when our free cocktails were dry. We threw $10 of our own into some slots here but no winnings to speak of, but lots of great people watching and snarky comments kinda fun. We were happy. Also happy the elevator held up long enough to ride us up two levels to the car in the garage. Scary old elevator! More snarky comments amongst ourselves and off to the next adventure. Total spent $105.33 to date. (we also received two free decks of Hooters playing cards - stocking stuffers!)
Off to the Flamingo where we you get $5 free slot play when you sing up for their player's club. We turned that into $19.15 of real money in our pockets thus deducting it from our running total which is now at $86.18.
[I'll stop here for those that need a break.... back in a few with more adventures on the strip!]
