Hmmmm, bonus

I guess I learn something everyday. I always thought that I got a point for using the Starwood Optima at a hotel. So BradC is correct, my only bonus is the Gold level extra point. And I could have gotten UA miles if I used my Mileage Plus Visa instead of the Starwood Optima. I guess I'm just used to using the Starwood card because of the promotions lately of using AMEX.

dgordon, At the Sheraton Sand Key in Florida, I was checking out and wanted my lunch to be put on the bill to accrue points. I had to check out, eat lunch, notify the cashier, have my bill brought up and adjusted. They would not let me postpone checking out and their reasoning is "unless you check out, we cannot service your room, and we will have to charge you for late checkout". The Sand Key does not honor the 4 pm. checkout for Gold or Plat elite.
