Well, LH @ IAD was of no help, although the agent said my bag had not arrived on today's flight ex-FRA. She said there was no point in trying to call CDG.

Although CDG was where I last heard actual news of my bag (tracked to LH 1034 on Dec 3). As I was on LH 1035 back to FRA to connect UA 933, I could not wait for it to be offloaded. I was "assured" that my bag would be sent next day to IAD.

I had no reason NOT to believe the LH agents at the time, but in hindsight should I have stayed until my bag arrived and paying for a hotel night in Paris??

As it is, I am losing money because I had to buy some cosmetics & unmentionables to replace what was in my luggage. The IAD LH agent said I should have bought these in France if I wanted to be reimbursed, but at the time my bag was only 1 flight behind me & I thought it would show up the next day (hah!). Should I have bought a stash of cosmetics & clothes in duty free "just in case"??
