Hello! I'm hoping to attend a conference in Montreal this August. As far as I can tell, it's being held at the Wyndham (Complexe Desjardins). Conference rate is C$170/room and I can get 500 CP points per stay. It sounds like a nice place and the regular rate is C$189. My stay could be as long as seven nights (in Sat - out Sat) or as short as four (in Mon-out Fri).

Starwood has a Sheraton (at C$329) and a Four Points (at C$149). Plus of course I'll get at least one free Friday night in Toronto (I may not have time to use both free Fridays). Figure the night in Toronto is worth $150 (for where I'd stay if I were paying!) and that's another $20/night off the Starwood price.

I can't really justify $329 for the Sheraton, but the Four Points looks like it's a walkable distance to the Wyndham conference.

Any thoughts on the hotel, or the plan, would be appreciated! (I could also stay at a Marriott if the Four Points plan is flawed, although I want the Free Friday at the Harbour Castle more than I want the Starwood points!).
