Called Delta Skymiles Platinum AMEX and spoke with a CS agent. Explained my concerns about entering a lot of info when it seems AMEX would already have my CIV number for the card. Gave her the exact website address as it appeared in my adress bar and read her the offer as well. She put me on hold to get it checked out.
Came back on after a couple of minutes and she had called Delta (promotions, I think) to validate the offer and also internal AMEX (fraud or promotions) to validate the site. Both were good. She also LMK that when she spoke with Delta, they let her know that it was a targeted offer and that I was likely not eligible. I made no mention of it possibly being Boston targeted. She shared this with me so that I had a heads-up that it would likely not work. She also checked to see if they had sent me any targeted offers recently and if there were any I might be eligible for at this time. Rocks on both counts.
Still, great service, IMHO, from AMEX.
