I know, but not in jersey, I have a collection of sim cards for my phone and iPad to cover Spain, the UK, and the USA. I hate paying roaming fees especially for data. I forward calls to my phone via Skype and googlevoice. All my contacts and calenders sync via gmail (I use google apps on my own domain names for work, I love that all my email is online and I can acess it from any internet connection.) I have got my wife to use gtalk on her work BB, and I use fring on my nokia or IM+ on my iPad. IM+ is great instant email notification and supports loads of IM clients as well as Skype.
You can do all these things on most phones now it's just the look and feel of the interface.
