BA fare questions
Hi,
I'm a novice to airline ticketing, and I have a few questions to the experts around here. I'll make it short:
I booked CDG-LHR-HKG (N class) and rtn NRT-LHR-CDG (Q class) both in V class on BA, fare conditions "Pax valid ba only chge i/b only eur150 no rerte/no ref ggairbagpfr"
My travel plans have changed and I'd like to change the booking date of both legs. My questions are:
1- What is the rationale for only making the return leg changeable, isn't BA missing an opportunity to generate revenue by charging change fees here?
2- If I get a POUG, will that make my ticket more flexible, allowing a date change?
3- Is my only alternative buying a completely new ticket, or is there another possibility I may have missed? Should I wait until Boxing Day for the next World Offers or book now?
4- If I cancel this ticket, can I get a refund on airport taxes? On some of the website I visited, they say it is possible, while on others it is not possible on the cheapest economy tickets.
Many thanks in advance,
