While "best choice" is hard to define the detail that KVS provides is quite simple. In the case of NF/NC inventory it is logging in to united.com, scraping the data from the site and presenting it to you in a different format. That will work exactly the same 3 days, 3 weeks or 3 months in advance. The real question is when UA chooses to release the inventory and if there is a better way to find it than not.
If you're a seasoned UA customer and you are familiar with the underlying functioning of .bomb and how to find this inventory published there then finding this data without KVS should be pretty easy. You simply have to decide if you're willing to pay the KVS rates for the different interface.
But using the tool will not magically make inventory appear that UA is not otherwise publishing publicly on their website.
