That bonus actually has already come and gone. 1,000 bonus points for on-line booking up to May 31, 2000. Agree though that it does seem harder to gain Starpoints than airline FF miles. One only needs to look at the crummy conversion of AMEX MR points to Starwood points (1,000 to 333 - or 1,000 to 233 for Canadian MR points)
