BTW, be sure and put your valuables in a locked compartment of your carry-on before running it through the x-ray. The holidays are busy, you may not always be able to keep your carry-on in sight, and there are ample opportunities for both TSOs and other pax to do some 'shopping', so better to be safe than sorry.
