I think that in 2011 we will see a substantial thinning of the herd, thanks to a lack of DEQM promos this year.

But certainly this year the ranks have swelled; I've got a flight coming up on the 13th, SFO-IAD on a 2-class 767 in the AM. E+ & exit rows are full, as is the F cabin (F0 and seat map shows every seat in these spots occupied). But there are still several seats back in E-, and not all just middles.

Must be several folks that came in recently on paid C/F tickets (possibly connecting to INTL destinations from IAD), as I've been wait-listed for a while, and have EF notifications turned on for this flight.

So with F0, little chance of upgrade for me at this point. Happily I have a good exit row aisle seat (21), and a fistful of in-flight drink coupons. I'll probably pick up a bento or similar at SFO before boarding.
