Thanks, Henry. I'll spend a bit more time looking at LX. Guess I'm also wondering which big hubs have the lowest PPM between them, so that I can then buy something above their deepest discount economy ticket, if I really need to score some miles.

And with some airlnes, they really muddy the water--they won't even tell you the class your buying (AGEAN) until it's purchased. I took a priced itinerary to the last click before purchase, and checked every "fare rules" link--no clue what class I was buying, and it was a codeshare on LH, to boot.

It's almost like any excursion fare, in these M&M circles, are designed to yield no mileage--and they're getting better at it, even with the web tools available to the rest of us!

I know I'm not the 1st person to find myself in this position--just wondering if others have found innovative and interesting ways to cut thru the noise and identify cheapest PPM, or find cheapest flights from FRA to anywhere in EU.

Otherwise, may as well use Ryanair for European liesure travel... No reason for M&M to offer mileage credit, considering the competition. If Ryanair started their own FF program, things might be forced to change over here...
