I'm based out of DFW and saw the double elite miles for travel between DFW-LAX/SFO. I'm not sure which fares are eligible, it seems any fare that is eligible for AA miles..??..

I plan on quite a bit of travel for work next year, I just don't know if it's worth it to move up to Plat from Gold?

Any other ideas for a MR? I'm not close at all on points or segments so it needs to be miles.
