That's when I ask to talk to a manager/supervisor/president of the bank and explain that I need a cashier's check for the entire balance of all my accounts. There is no reason to tolerate bad service from a bank when so many are competing for your business.
That wouldn't have worked in her case--she was trying to cash a check with questionable finances and thus was going to the bank of issue rather than our bank.
