For years I was happy with orange earplugs. They rolled up, stayed compressed until inserted into ear canal, and then gradually expanded to block the noise.

Now we have the new white earplugs. They are connected together and have to be separated before use. Then, when rolled they don't stay compressed long enough to push into your ear. After one attempt, they are now warm and even less likely to stay comressed.

Ive tried the following without success....
* Placing them behind the window shade to cool
* Dipping in iced water
* Covering with saliva to provide some lubrication
Has anyone figured out how to best use the white earplugs so that they work.
