Last night I received two emails related to bookings made on AC. They say:

As an added benefit for flying with us, you can now activate your complimentary personal travel website which summarizes your trip details and provides easy access to other useful information – all in one convenient place:

We’re glad you chose Air Canada for your travels. Your personal travel website* is ready for you to activate.
It also adds that:
"By activating My Travel Planner, you are authorizing Air Canada to transmit your booking information to CONTAC, a service provider with whom Air Canada has contracted, and who have undertaken to use said information only for purposes of My Travel Planner.
You received this email from Air Canada as xxxxxx. If at any time you decide you no longer wish to receive these communications regarding My Travel Planner, simply click No Thank You

Did I miss some announcement? Is this new? Has anyone used it? I did not receive such emails after bookings made a week ago and I am always leery of third party arrangements.
