Perhaps get a notarized translation which uses specifically the language from the TIMATIC info?
The same sort of thing is often required if you're presenting legal documents from a foreign country. I know someone who got married in Greece and needed to get all their personal documents translated and notarized to get a marriage license there.
If you're being checked in Vancouver I bet it's not hard for them to find someone who can read it. I assume they check the docs only in Vancouver, not at your point of origin?
