All of the above is true, unless the fare you are putting on hold expires today. Then it would be guaranteed until 11:59 tonight.

Example: Book a 7 day advanced purchase fare today departing on Thursday Dec 9 and then when you put it on hold it would only be held until December 02, 2010 11:59 PM.
