I tested a large number of those sockets with an artificial load (a programmable sink) because I consistently had problems with them.

If you have no inductive load in your power supply (i.e. when the Volt-Amperes of the power supply equal the Watts or when cos(phi)=1 ) then all the seats cut at pretty much 65 Watts. If you have a large inductive load, some seats take 80 to 90 VA but others cut at 70 ... so it is hit and miss.

Even on the A380, the outlets cut at 80W ... this is simply not sufficient power. Get at least 90 like most US carriers do SQ!
