hulagirl gives good advice. Additional information is the other two Wailea hotels are the Outrigger Wailea and the Kea Lani. The latter has bungalows going for $1000/night and no discounts on these either. Dustin and Arnold like to stay there. One other hotel is there called the Diamond Resort. Forget about staying but their 2 Japanese restaurants are top notch. My secret place at the Diamond Resort is an Italian restaurant (Bella Luna), fantastic sunset views (best sunset views on Maui), reasonable food and a real real bargain.

Someone mentioned HI Chart Houses. The one in Kahalui closed 10 months ago and the Wailea and Kaanapali locations are either closed now or will be in 2 months. They have already given the state mandated notice to their employees. I enjoy Joe's in Wailea overlooking nice tennis courts. Shoppes at Wailea is re-opening this spring with 4 scheduled restaurants and mucho stores....all tasteful, of course. Coffee shop is closed but the one-man guitar guy is great and some of the best pupus on Maui can be eaten while listening to his quiet Hawaiian music. Try the Spring Rolls with salmon.

Lastly DO NOT MISS THE MAUI PRINCE Sunday Brunch at the Prince Court. Delicious Continental/Japanese buffet with unending complimentary champagne from 1030am-200pm. Price $36/pp. I suggest you make your reservations BEFORE you go especially if you want a 1030 seating. I will probably be there on Mar 18 or 25 for my monthly food-fix and bubbly-fix and to dream up exciting and inventive ways to seat people on airplanes. Enjoy the lovely islands.
