I've recommended that hotel to young couples who have enjoyed it. The Prince is a sister hotel to one on Big Island and Oahu. It has lovely grounds, at the end of the strip. It is a quiet property, one of the newer ones in the area. The others are the Four Seasons, the Grand Wailea which are more beautiful, but very expensive. The Others are older than the Prince. West Maui has a lot of variety of restaurants if you have a car. Most of the condos in that area are not as fancy, more the 3 star category. The Prince is definitely not a budget hotel. It is nice, and local schools book their proms their, local people have their wedding receptions there (I've seen them.) If you have a car, there is no problem with this hotel. In fact, many local people from Oahu go there on the weekends, including affluent physicians. There is a Japanese restaurant (pricey, and a continental one). I don't think it has a coffee shop. It used to have Hawaiian music some nights with one singer.
