On reading her AP statement, my wife got a shock that thousands of A$ dollars are set to expire Feb 1 2011! She has just dropped back to Silver after many years of uninterrupted G and GE... not as much long haul traveling these days with little ones

Luckily she has a Global Plus Amex and they switched her card (for a higher fee of course!) to the Platinum Visa card where A$ do not expire. My question is, does anyone know if this is likely to take effect before Feb (assuming the card is issued within the next 10 days) and will it apply to all points on her account regardless of when earned?
