For checking what class one already purchased, one used to be able to go the AA Refunds site, enter the ticket number and see the details prior to actually processing for a refund.

Actually, I find gcmap to be spot on with UA flights, but off by about less than 10 miles for AA, in our favor if I recall correctly.
