Hi all,

I am trying to book an aeroplan award flight PEK - HKG - CKG - PEK. Unfortunately, I was told that this routing is not bookable online and I'll need to call in and book this through an agent.

I was able to see business class availability for all three routes. However, when I called in, the agent informed me that there is in fact no seats for HKG - CKG (Dec 26) even though the website shows availability everyday that week.

I was told that there is a glitch in the system in that CA business class seats are shown even though availability is in fact nil.

I'm wondering if this is accurate information, and wonder what would happen if I had gone ahead and actually book the HKG - CKG route online. I was able to go through the booking all the way shy of paying for it...

I also wanted to ask if anyone might know what the connection procedure is re CA domestic (CKG - PEK) --> AC international (PEK - YYZ). Since one portion of the ticket will be through aeroplan and the other a revenue ticket, I am unable to add them together onto the same PNR and have both boarding pass issued in CKG. However, does anyone know if my luggage can be checked through from CKG all the way to YYZ? No one seems to know the answer - not AC, CA, or aeroplan... I was told I will likely have to pick up my suitcases at PEK airport and re-check in. And the minimum check in time was given between two hours and four hours. If anyone has any experiences with this, I'd love to hear them.
