My girlfriend got the same cert for her December Bday, valid through Jan. I thought it might actually be useful since we'll be traveling together and it's valid for bday pax +1. Sadly, when she tried it on some routes we'll be on, it did not apply to the cheapest fares.

How does this make any sense from any standpoint to make the certs fare restricted? 10% off last minute travel seems like a small to trifling gesture anyways.

Guess it makes me less disappointed that AS forgot my bday in July.
