If I do this on a regular basis, will there be any consequence? It will give me the miles I need to make plat by the end of the year.
Thoughts?
Some airlines (like LH) have fine print that reserves them the right to "fine" you with an addtl fee. I've done it a few times along the years especially when changing cities in Europe during a trip where a RT is cheaper than a one way ticket and its never come back to cost me. But different airlines may have different policies.
