I'm resurrecting this thread...
I have been staying at this hotel almost every week since April 2010. Here are a few observations:
- They have never once recognized me (or members of my team also staying there) as returning guests. Not once.
- The general service is mediocre and inconsistent. Sometimes there is turn-down service, most night there is not. Concierge service is sproradically available.
- Concierge lounge - the space is great, but the food selections are mediocre as compared to other full-service Marriott hotels. Breakfasts are far better than evening selections.
- #1 complaint - the internet service at this hotel is abysmal. Most evenings you cannot keep a connection after 8 pm. Even after repeatedly notifying the management, they say they cannot find a vendor to fix this.
There are some major service flaws at this hotel, but I guess all of that could be overlooked. However, the failure to provide adequate internet connectivity (both wired and wireless) is absolutely unacceptable in 2010 - when you are paying $195 and up per night for this property.
It's really too bad there isn't a Starwood property close by. That would force changes at the Marriott. Unfortunately, it is the only full-service hotel in Bridgewater, and they have a captive audience of pharmaceutical clients who need to stay there - so they have not been open or responsive to feedback.
