Looked on TSA site & this is not listed as a banned item.
Is it?

The corkscrew is one of those foldable ones that has a small serrated blade that is used to cut the wrap around the cork. The blade itself is maybe 1/2" long.

Think they'll let it through?

Will it be more or less likely to get through if I set off the metal detector? I have a pacemaker. It rarely sets off the Detector. It did one time recently however. I think it depends on the settings of the machine.

I fear with that combination I am asking for a full scale grope.

It is possible they won't see it buried in a bag, but if they do I think you will have it confiscated; if not for the corkscrew itself, for the foil blade.
