Spent two great October weekend's here ('08 and '10). Great hotel, though if you arrive late, you aren't getting a good upgrade, but it's got great local charm and hiking the mountain behind is well worth your time. Good kayaking (not whitewater) is about 30 minutes away. The spa is well done, and my only disappointment is that the hot tub closes early, but the fire pit is nice and warm.
