I have been looking for Pretoria hotels and I was surprised to see an unknown small guest house called "Aluvi House" ranked first. I became suspicious when noticing the only reviews (8) where all posted recently, in most of the cases from account with no other review and always with no text, only the maximum rating.

I don't question the quality of this guest house but the amenities and the rare available pictures are far away from perfection... I strongly suspect fake reviews, especially when the first thing the hotel shows on his website is the tripadvisor box. No What's your opinion on that? How to detect fake reviews in other cases?

I usually consider Tripadvisor like a quality source for the ratings of hotels so I don't know what to think here: do they tolerate hotels exagerating their reviews? Do they actually help hotels do that against a fee or do they discourage them?
