This post just doesn't make sense. I call shenanigans.

1. A government employee is “furious” that the St. Regis San Francisco charges more than $142 per night.

2. Two million Starpoints in four years, at a government job (or a career given up for a government job).

Is that combination even remotely possible? Someone could accrue that many Starwood Preferred Planner points by organizing a goverment meeting every two weeks (there's a 20k per meeting maximum). After organizing a hundred meetings, wouldn't anyone be intimately familiar with Starwood rates?
