I do a lot of YYZ-YYC stuff, usually on the same days (leave YYZ Thursday night, leave YYC Monday night). What I've noticed is 767s take longer and A320s are quicker.

Last Thurs Nov 1, wait at YYC carousel about 10 minutes, priority tags came first. Last night (Nov 5) wait at YYZ carousel barely 5 minutes, priority tags first again.

Both flights were A319s. Both landed around 11:30 pm. Seems like the smaller the craft, the quicker unloaded. Doesn't hurt that maybe the baggage handler guys are wanting to get done at midnight and go home, either.
