I have known doc for a long time now and, while I certainly haven't read all of his posts, I do not recall any that were in intended to put anyone else down or hurt anyone else's feelings. He posts (granted a lot) about things that interest him that might interest others. If his posts interest you, read them. If not, skip them.
Bulletin boards are healthy when all posters share ideas that interest them. Bulletin boards become unhealthy when some members take it upon themselves to attack, insult, chastise and/or stalk other members with negative intent.
FlyerTalk would be a wonderful place if all posters focused their posts on those things that truly interest them, rather than trying to break other people down. If someone gets to the point that the only thing that interests him/her is hurting someone else, it is probably time to do some serious soul searching.
I personally think that FlyerTalk would be a much better place if the focus of the moderators was to stop personal attacks, rather than making sure that every posts was in exactly the right place (whatever that is).
