I am thoroughly in support of Doc's practice of adding to an existing thread when there is new information on its topic rather than starting a new one. It is far easier for me, at least, to find information on a topic when it's all in one place rather than reading a new thread and hunting for its predecessor or reading an older one (that was bumped up by a recent post by someone else) and wondering if there might be a news update posted someplace. I believe most people who want to read about a topic would agree.

I agree completely. It is nice to have all the same information in one thread. I don't see what the problem is.

I don't understand why anyone feels they have to read through all the pages before figuring out that it might be an update to an old thread. Check the date on the first page....that should tell you right off the bat. Then you can determine whether you want to read the whole thing. I usually just skip to the last page and find what was recently posted. Sometimes I go back to read the rest, sometimes not.

This isn't rocket science here. It is just part of the online forum world. Learn how to sort through the topics and threads to find what interests you and be done with it.

Constantly badgering a member because you don't like how he posts, even when it has been repeatedly stated that it is acceptable, is just plain wrong.

I certainly hope this is not why Doc has been absent lately.
