BWatson, I agree 200% with you. However, I really wonder if these boards would not be better served if
doc (and a few others that sometimes try to emulate him) would get a bunch of specific forums where they could post, and all of us (myself included), would just go there to see those most excellent clippings and other news related contributions.
The reason I think this would be better is that due to the huge amount of posts and clippings that are generated on a daily basis, posts from other members sometimes get pushed onto page 5 or 6 of a forum in a very short time after they are first posted, thereby not giving enough time for many members to see and contribute. This has happened to many of us in the past, and just leads for a longer exchange of ideas and information. Also, its generates the need for me to go have to look for that thread on that obscure page, and post a little value 'bump' post to try to get everyones attention again. Yes, there are those lights and you can see from the color of the folder if there is a new or old post, but lets get real... how many of us actually go past the first 1 or 2 pages of posts on each forum?
